emperor Two-Factor Authentication - Account Security Guide
Two-factor authentication (2FA) at emperor adds a second verification layer to your login process, requiring both your password and a time-sensitive code sent to your registered mobile device. Without 2FA, a person who obtains your password can access your account, view your balance, and potentially initiate withdrawals. With 2FA enabled, that same person would also need access to your mobile device to complete login—a significantly higher barrier to unauthorized access.

We offer 2FA as an optional but strongly recommended security feature for all emperor members. Enabling 2FA is straightforward and takes approximately subject to verification. Once active, 2FA applies to every login attempt, whether you are accessing emperor from desktop, mobile web, or our native mobile app. 2FA does not affect your gameplay, payment processing, or withdrawal flow—it only affects login gates.
How emperor Two-Factor Authentication Works
Emperor's two-factor authentication relies on a time-based one-time password (TOTP) algorithm, commonly used across financial platforms and email services. Here is the flow: you activate 2FA in your account settings and link a mobile authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy). The authenticator app generates a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. At each login, after you enter your username and password, you are prompted to enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app. If the code is valid, login proceeds; if invalid or expired, login is denied.
The advantage of TOTP-based 2FA is that codes are generated locally on your device and never transmitted to emperor servers (except at verification). This means even if our servers were compromised, attackers could not obtain valid 2FA codes. Additionally, 2FA does not depend on SMS (text messages), which can be intercepted or rerouted. Instead, you control the authenticator app directly on your mobile device.
Setting up 2FA involves four simple steps: navigate to your Security settings, select "Enable Two-Factor Authentication," scan the QR code displayed with your authenticator app, verify the 6-digit code your app generates, and save. Emperor then stores a backup of your 2FA configuration. If you lose your mobile device, you can use backup codes (provided during setup) to regain access without your authenticator app.
We do not charge any fee to enable 2FA. It remains optional, though we strongly recommend it for any member who plays regularly, maintains a balance above a nominal threshold, or withdraws frequently. 2FA is particularly valuable if you share a device with family members or access emperor from public or semi-public networks (coffee shops, hotels, shared office spaces in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, or Semarang).
2FA applies only to login; it does not restrict in-game actions, payment methods, or withdrawals. Once you have logged in successfully (with 2FA code), you can play slots, live-dealer games, access your account settings, and request withdrawals without re-entering a 2FA code for each action.
Setting Up and Managing Two-Factor Authentication at emperor
Step-by-Step 2FA Activation
-
1
Log in to your emperor accountLogin
Access your account via the emperor login page using your username and password (without 2FA yet, if this is your first setup).
-
2
Navigate to Security settingsNavigation
From your account dashboard, select Settings or Profile, then choose Security. You will see options for password, login history, and Two-Factor Authentication.
-
3
Select Enable Two-Factor AuthenticationActivation
Click the enable button. Emperor will display a QR code and a backup key (a long string of characters). Save the backup key in a secure location.
-
4
Scan QR code with authenticator appApp setup
Open Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or a similar TOTP app on your mobile device. Use the app's camera to scan the QR code displayed by emperor. The app will add a new entry labeled "emperor" and begin generating 6-digit codes.
-
5
Enter verification codeConfirmation
Copy the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app and paste it into the emperor verification field. Click Confirm. If the code is valid, 2FA is now active on your account.
-
6
Save backup codesRecovery
Emperor will display 10 one-time backup codes. Each code can be used to log in if you lose access to your authenticator app. Write these codes down or store them securely (not in a public or cloud-synced location).
Using 2FA at Login
Once 2FA is enabled, each login requires three components: your username, your password, and the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app. After you enter username and password, you are shown a prompt asking for the 6-digit code. Open your authenticator app, locate the entry labeled "emperor," and copy the 6-digit code displayed. Codes change every 30 seconds; you have the full 30-second window to enter a code before it expires.
If you enter an expired or incorrect code, login fails and you can retry. After a failed login attempt, try again with a fresh code from your authenticator app.
- TOTP
- Time-based one-time password; a code generated by your authenticator app that changes every 30 seconds and is valid only for that specific time window.
- Backup codes
- One-time-use recovery codes provided by emperor during 2FA setup; each can be used once to log in if your authenticator app is unavailable.
- QR code
- A scannable barcode that contains your unique 2FA setup information; your authenticator app reads this to link your emperor account.
Losing Your Mobile Device or Authenticator App
If you lose your mobile device or delete your authenticator app, you can still access your emperor account using one of your backup codes. Navigate to the emperor login page, enter your username and password, and when prompted for the 2FA code, enter one of your backup codes instead. Each backup code is single-use; once used, it expires and cannot be reused.
If you have exhausted all backup codes or cannot locate them, contact emperor support with proof of account ownership (your account email and identity verification details). Our support team can temporarily disable 2FA after verifying your identity, allowing you to log in with just username and password. We recommend re-enabling 2FA after you have restored access to your device or installed a fresh authenticator app.
Disabling or Resetting 2FA
If you wish to disable 2FA, navigate to Security settings and select Disable Two-Factor Authentication. You will be prompted to enter your current 2FA code to confirm the request (to prevent unauthorized disabling). Once disabled, subsequent logins require only your username and password. You can re-enable 2FA at any time by following the setup steps again. Backup codes are invalidated when you disable 2FA; new backup codes are generated if you re-enable it later.
Best Practices and Account Security Tips
Two-factor authentication is one of several security layers emperor provides. We also recommend keeping your password strong (at least 12 characters, mixing uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols), avoiding password reuse across multiple services, and periodically reviewing your login history to detect unauthorized access attempts.
-
1
Enable 2FA immediately upon account creationSetup
Do not delay 2FA activation. Enable it during your initial account setup, even if you plan to make only occasional plays on Aviator, Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus, Fortune Tiger, or Mahjong Ways.
-
2
Use a dedicated authenticator appTools
Do not rely on a password manager or browser extension for 2FA codes. Use a dedicated authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy) installed directly on your mobile device.
-
3
Keep your mobile device secureDevice security
Your mobile device is now a security key to your emperor account. Protect it with a strong lock screen password or biometric authentication (fingerprint, face recognition).
-
4
Check login history regularlyMonitoring
In your emperor Security settings, review your login history. Look for logins from unfamiliar times or locations. If you spot an unauthorized login, change your password immediately and contact support.
-
5
Verify payment methods before withdrawalPayments
When you request a withdrawal to DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or your bank account, carefully confirm the destination. A compromise of your login does not compromise your linked payment methods (they are separately verified), but double-checking remains a good habit.
-
6
Confirm your jurisdiction statusCompliance
emperor services are available only where local law permits. Verify that your access and use comply with your jurisdiction's legal requirements. 2FA does not change your jurisdictional eligibility; it only enhances security for eligible accounts.
Two-factor authentication represents a substantial security improvement over password-only access. Enabling 2FA on your emperor account protects your balance, prevents unauthorized withdrawals, and ensures that only you can access your slot-game history, live-dealer sessions, Liga 1 sportsbook records, and payment information. The setup process takes minutes and requires no ongoing maintenance beyond keeping your authenticator app installed on your mobile device.
We recommend enabling 2FA as standard practice, regardless of your account age or activity level. If you have questions about 2FA setup, backup codes, or account recovery, our support team is available via the Help section within your emperor account. Your account security is our shared responsibility; we provide the tools and infrastructure, and you retain control over your credentials and authentication methods.
